This Music Video is Basically ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit?’ on a Murderous Rampage
The live-action/animated hybrid film Who Framed Roger Rabbit? was and still is one of my favorite films. But if I’m going to be completely honest with you, there were some moments in there that freaked me the hell out. Judge Doom and his transformation at the end really unsettled me and as much as I loved seeing him meet his demise, his screams and how he melts into “the dip” were horrifying at a young age.
Anyways, the reason I bring it up is because the new video from L’Orange & Mr. Lif uses the idea of toons living amongst humans as its basis, although things are far more sinister in this video than in the 1988 film…
Directed by Alex Thompson and animated by Griffin Giersch, the video offers a large story while keeping the visuals themselves rather contained. Basically, the concept here is that cartoons have been coming to life and have been overtaking cities, which leads people to fight back. As a result, there is some blood (and ink) being shed.
“Strange Technology” comes from The Life & Death of Scenery, which you can pick up from Mello Music Group.
