One of the best things about ’80s movies was the epic montage sequences found in so many of them, which brought awesome music into some of our favorite films. One of the decade’s best is found in Fred Dekker’s The Monster Squad, wherein we watch the kids prepare for battle while Michael Sembello’s ‘Rock Until You Drop’ plays over the visuals.
Pure. ’80s. Perfection.
Thirty years after the release of The Monster Squad, musician Console Crash just unleashed his own version of ‘Rock Until You Drop,’ which puts a spooky acoustic spin on Sembello’s classic ’80s tune.
“Just a Gretsch New Yorker, my voice and a ton of reverb,” he notes.
