Here in the States, we still have to wait two more weeks to see J.A. Bayona’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, but EW brings us something to tide you over this week!

Oscar-winning film composer Michael Giacchino (Jurassic World) scored Fallen Kingdom, and his soundtrack for the sequel features a brand new theme song.

I thought this was a great chance to be a little darker and more tense, to go in a direction that felt new, and it didn’t mean that I would abandon the orchestral element, but just texturally how you use melody and chords and eighths and the sort of ugliness that you can get out of an orchestra to create these frightening moods,” Giacchino told the site. “The main theme is really about the darker world they’re going into, and it’s used in many different ways: in a positive way, a dark way, a humorous way, if you need to.

Listen to the darker, more ominous theme below!

Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are returning for the sequel, which also stars Jeff Goldblum, along with Justice Smith, James Cromwell and Toby Jones. Colin Trevorrow, who directed Jurassic World, wrote the script for the sequel with Derek Connolly.

It’s been three years since theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment.  Isla Nublar now sits abandoned by humans while the surviving dinosaurs fend for themselves in the jungles.

When the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. Owen is driven to find Blue, his lead raptor who’s still missing in the wild, and Claire has grown a respect for these creatures she now makes her mission. Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their expedition uncovers a conspiracy that could return our entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times.

With all of the wonder, adventure and thrills synonymous with one of the most popular and successful series in cinema history, this all-new motion-picture event sees the return of favorite characters and dinosaurs—along with new breeds more awe-inspiring and terrifying than ever before.  Welcome to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
