You made it through Halloween, now try and survive Christmas.
In the final days of 2018, metalcore band Ice Nine Kills has just unleashed what is easily one of the best music videos of the year, for the track “Merry Axe-Mas” from this year’s The Silver Scream album. The video (and song) are a total love letter to holiday horror slasher Silent Night, Deadly Night, and they even turned the movie into a retro video game for it!
Frontman Spencer Charnas tells Revolver, who debuted the video today…
“Silent Night, Deadly Night is one of my all time favorite slasher flicks. In our song and video for ‘Merry Axe-Mas,’ I wanted to pay tribute to the film’s brilliant combination of sleaze, holiday cheer, absurdity and vicious gore.”
