Thom Yorke Put Together a Vinyl Release of Unheard ‘Suspiria’ Tracks… and It Instantly Sold Out

One of my favorite movie scores from last year was Thom Yorke‘s beautiful music for the Suspiria remake, which he absolutely knocked out of the park. Needless to say, Yorke had massive shoes to fill, as Goblin’s score for Dario Argento’s Suspiria is one of the greatest in horror history, but his tunes for Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria were in a class all their own.

(The track “Suspirium,” in particular, has been on a constant loop in my home.)

This morning, Yorke released previously unheard material from his Suspiria score, offering a limited edition vinyl record to the first 1,500 fans to navigate over to The Vinyl Factory’s website. Not surprisingly, the limited offering sold out almost instantly, ensuring that most of us will have to prowl eBay in the coming months in the hopes of grabbing one for ourselves.

Tracklist:

  • A1. Unmade Overtones
  • A2. Unused Spell
  • A3. A Conversation With Just Your Eyes
  • B1. The7th7th7th7thSon
  • B2. Volk Spin Off V1
  • B3. Volk Spin Off V2
  • B4. Volk Spin Off V3

Those who were able to snag one should expect it to ship on February 22nd.
