’28 Years Later’ Soundtrack Pressed on Vinyl by Milan Records

The 28 Years Later soundtrack will be released on vinyl on December 19 via Milan Records.

Composed by Young Fathers (T2 Trainspotting), the 2xLP album is pressed on translucent red vinyl and housed inside a gatefold jacket with printed sleeves.

“The Scottish progressive hip hop group bring an electrifying blend of original vocal tracks and instrumental score to the album,” Milan writes. “Featured are fan-favorite tracks ‘Promised Land,’ ‘Causeway,’ and ‘Boots’ – the latter incorporating the words of Rudyard Kipling’s wartime poem, used to terrifying effect.”

28 Years Later reunites director Danny Boyle and screenwriter Alex Garland for the long-awaited third installment in the post-apocalyptic horror franchise, which launched with 2002’s 28 Days Later and continued in 2007’s 28 Weeks Later.

It’s been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amidst the infected.

One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily-defended causeway. When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders, and horrors that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors as well.

Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jack O’Connell, Alfie Williams, and Ralph Fiennes star.

Meagan Navarro wrote in her review, “Boyle and Garland once again introduce characters we want to spend more time with, even when they break our hearts. This riveting blend of horror and heart also reminds that death, horror’s favorite equalizer, can be as beautiful as it can be cruel.”

28 Years Later kicks off a new trilogy and was shot back-to-back with the next entry, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. Written by Garland and directed by Nia DaCosta, it’s due out on January 16, 2026.
