It’s Texas Chain Saw Day, and Waxwork Records is celebrating accordingly with their very first picture disc release for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Original Motion Picture Score by Tobe Hooper and Wayne Bell.
Also in celebration of the iconic film’s 50th Anniversary, the long-awaited score album is now available for the very first time in any format.
The score is, of course, unlike any other. As Waxwork details, Hooper and Bell’s OST is an “experimental exercise in music composing and performance that utilizes non-traditional instruments such as suspended cymbals, aluminum saucepans, a children’s toy percussion set, various wildlife calls, whistles, shakers, and more.”
While there are multiple formats available currently, including cassette and CD, the picture disc deluxe set is now available to preorder for an October release and features fiery-orange handpoured colored vinyl Picture Discs.
Here’s the catch, though, the picture disc preorder is only available for the next 24 hours.
