IN THIS MOMENT Discuss Upcoming Rockstar Mayhem Tour

Published

on

IN THIS MOMENT are extremely excited to be performing on this summer’s much anticipated Rockstar Mayhem Tour playing on the Mayhem Festival Stage alongside Atreyu, Norma Jean and 3 Inches of Blood. This tour will mark the start of the group’s official, massive worldwide touring schedule for their new full-length album, which is set for a summer release. The group were also hailed by Alternative Press as “One of The Most Anticipated Releases of 2010.” Be sure to visit www.myspace.com/inthismoment to view their entire summer touring itinerary. Chris Howorth (guitars) further states: “As I write this we are furiously working on new songs for our upcoming CD due out this summer. We made a decision early on that this was gonna be a darker/heavier album than its predecessor, The Dream, and we are so stoked on the new ideas we have been coming up with. Some of these songs are pure groove metal, it’s so heavy and the best part is that Maria Brink and I are actually agreeing on a lot of this heavy stuff, where in the past there was a lot of clashing between us. We can’t wait to unleash the new material on our fans and everyone else around the world.

“I can’t even begin to tell you how honored and excited we are to be part of the Mayhem Festival this year. It’s pretty mind blowing that we were asked to be on yet another huge summer touring festival in the U.S. We owe Kevin Lyman a huge thank you for putting us on the Warped Tour last summer and now Mayhem in 2010. Mayhem is gonna be huge this year, the line-up is fucking killer w/ Korn, L.O.G., Zombie, 5FDP and Hatebreed, among others. It’s a great mix of rock and metal. We are really excited to play some of our new, heavy songs and really make an impact on the Mayhem crowd. We are also the only female fronted band on the tour and it should help us really stick out from the all the other acts, but it’s our responsibility to throw down for the ladies (haha, I can’t believe I just said that). It’s shaping up to be a huge year for IN THIS MOMENT and again we are honored and so grateful for the opportunity to be on Mayhem 2010. See you there!”

In an ever continuous quest to defy the odds and break down barriers between the metal and hard rock community, Southern California’s IN THIS MOMENT took their heavy brand of metallic, pure, rock fury and captivated audiences across North America on this past summer’s entire Warped Tour festival. The band won over a slew of unsuspecting masses with their charismatic, intense and overly dynamic stage show. The band has proven that they can stand tall with anyone. Whether it’s performing alongside such metal titans as Ozzy Osbourne and Megadeth or such hot new bands as Aiden, Saosin and Underoath.

Check out the official Rockstar Mayhem Tour website for tour dates as well as band and stage line-ups! I don’t know about you guys, but Rob Zombie? Lamb of God? 3 Inches of Blood??? Hell yeah I’m going to this show!

The Lost Boys: A New Musical officially kicked off on Broadway last month, and Deadline now reports that the show’s Broadway run has been extended into next year.

The show was originally set to run through November, but Deadline reports that The Lost Boys: A New Musical “has released a block of tickets through Sunday, March 7, 2027.”

The news comes in the wake of The Lost Boys: A New Musical becoming the most Tony-nominated musical of the season with twelve nominations including Best Musical.

Additionally, “The Lost Boys will launch a North American National Tour in Spring 2028, at Playhouse Square in Cleveland. Additional cities and tour dates will be announced later.”

The Lost Boys: A New Musical is of course an adaptation of the 1987 horror classic from director Joel Schumacher, with the cast including Ali Louis Bourzgui as lead vampire David (originally played by Kiefer Sutherland), Maria Wirries as Star (originally played by Jami Gertz), and LJ Benet as the soon-to-be-turned Michael (originally played by Jason Patric).

The horror musical’s cast also includes Shoshana Bean as Lucy Emerson, Benjamin Pajak as Sam Emerson, Paul Alexander Nolan as Max, Jennifer Duka as Alan Frog, Miguel Gil as Edgar Frog, Brian Flores as Marko, Sean Grandillo as Dwayne, and Dean Maupin as Paul.

The Lost Boys: A New Musical is Directed by Michael Arden, featuring Music and Lyrics by The Rescues, Book by David Hornsby & Chris Hoch, Story by James Jeremias & Janice Fischer, and Produced by James Carpinello, Marcus Chait & Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring) by special arrangement with Warner Bros. When a mother and her two teenage sons move to Santa Carla in desperate need of a fresh start, they soon uncover the darker side of this sunny coastal community. While Lucy tries to piece her family’s life back together, Michael keeps pulling away in search of belonging.

As he finds connection with a local rock band and its charismatic leader, his younger brother Sam comes face-to-face with a terrifying reality: When night falls, Michael’s new friends are even more dangerous than they first appeared.

Joel Schumacher directed the original The Lost Boys vampire movie in 1987, wherein two brothers move to a new town and discover that the area is a haven for vampires.
