Heaven Shall Burn, Germany’s renowned hardcore infused death metal band, has teamed up with MetalSucks.net to offer fans an exclusive download of the track “Buried in Forgotten Grounds”, taken from the forthcoming record, Invictus, which hits stores in the US on June 8th, courtesy of Century Media Records. Head over to MetalSucks.net to download the new song today.
Along with the launch of the new track, Heaven Shall Burn has also posted a live video of the song “Forlorn Skies” on the band’s official MySpace page at: www.myspace.com/officialheavenshallburn, and on YouTube.
The video was taken from the European limited edition of Invictus, which is available as a luxurious box-set, including a Digipak with alternative artwork, a bonus track (a cover of Therapy?’s “Nowhere”), and a bonus live DVD, which was filmed at the small and intimate club Szene in Vienna.
Invictus [the full title of which is Invictus (Iconoclast III)] was recorded at Tue Madsen’s Antfarm Studio in Aarhus, Denmark. The album was produced by Heaven Shall Burn’s guitarists, Alexander Dietz and Maik Weichert.
It is the third part of the “Iconoclast” story, following the 2008 release, Iconoclast, and the 2009 DVD, Bildersturm. Like its predecessors, Invictus will again tell stories about unconventional heroes, while shedding a different light on well-known idols and legends.
Two brand new songs off Invictus, “The Omen” and “Combat”, are available for streaming on the Heaven Shall Burn MySpace page.
