Another Lost Planet 2 Demo? You Know It
For those of you who haven’t downloaded the Lost Planet 2 4 player co-op demo, well, shame on you. Shame on you straight to hell. Well you’ll have a chance to redeem yourself I suppose. Capcom will be releasing a 2nd demo. This one will throw you into the online Versus mode.

Up to 16 players going bananas on each other with all the weapons you can get your hands on. You’ll be thrown into the Turbulent Jungle map April 21 for Xbox 360 and April 22 for PlayStation 3. However, Capcom will be giving out vouchers as early as March 31st, so keep your eyes peeled if you want early access to the demo. Oh it gets better…. Players smart enough to download and play the demo will get the Machine Gun SP which fires three round bursts when they purchase the full game upon release. That along with Wesker, Marcus and Dom, 4 player campaign co-op? I’m pumped!

What, it gets better? Of course it does. The game will be released 1 week earlier for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on May 11th instead of May 18th! And, a PC version is scheduled for fall.

Legendary Grimdark ‘Warhammer 40,000’ Artist John Blanche Has Passed Away at 78
In the grim darkness of the far future there is only war, but it was a cheerful illustrator from England who helped to define the terrifying war-torn imagery that inspired what we now know as Grimdark (a hybrid genre combining horror with sci-fi/fantasy).
Unfortunately for fans of Warhammer 40,000, Trench Crusade and countless other sources of Grimdark thrills, veteran artist John Blanche passed away this week after struggling with health issues for the past few years.
While the artist retired back in 2023, he leaves us with an enormous legacy of iconic artwork that continues to inspire gamers and storytellers around the world to this very day.
The news is especially gloomy as it was only last year that Daniel Lowman and Napoleon Dynamite himself Jon Heder released The Grim & the Dark: The Search for John Blanche, a documentary following Heder’s exploration of the Grimdark genre culminating in a heartwarming encounter with Blanche in his own home.
Below is one of my favorite pieces by Blanche, his highly influential depiction of Warhammer 40k’s God-Emperor of Mankind on his Golden Throne.
We send our deepest condolences to John Blanche’s family, friends, and fans.
