Remember Hydrophobia? Before it’s release back in September I was pretty amped for it since it boasted big budget visuals and an incredible engine that made my nerdy side tremble with excitement. Sadly, while it’s much hyped HydroEngine was very impressive, everything else was lacking. The game garnered lukewarm to just plain hostile reviews and because of that its developer, Dark Energy Digital, is releasing an update tomorrow that aims to fix many of the issues critics had with the game.

Dubbed Hydrophobia Pure, it will cost 800 Microsoft Reindeer Turds for new buyers (it’s free for those who already own the game) and will fix many of the technical issues like the game’s less than stellar visuals, physics and pesky camera. It will also bring with it a new climbing system, better platforming, tweaked button layout and edits to the dialogue and cut-scenes. Essentially everything’s seen an upgrade. Improved Graphics

* Character dynamic self-shadowing

And for those still on the fence the trial’s been extended so you can experience more of the game before deciding whether or not to give it a purchase.
