New Director, Cast and Title For Third ‘Butterfly Effect’

Published

on

We originally reported that Anthony Leonardi was in talks to get behind the camera for the third BUTTERFLY EFFECT film… sometimes it doesn’t always pan out the way it appears. We learned this afternoon that Seth Grossman will direct the newly-titled Butterfly Revelation for After Dark Films. We were also tipped off that Chris Carmack will topline as Sam Reed in the film, which was written by Holly Brix. Inside you’ll find a more detailed synopsis.
A fatal fire in his childhood has somehow given SAM REED the capacity to travel back in time — a “psychic” talent that, thus far, he has used to help fight crime. But, in order to save an innocent man from the death chamber, Sam travels back to try and track the real killer of an old love — and winds up ripping a hole in the fabric of the past and unleashing a vicious serial slayer on an unsuspecting world…

Shooting is scheduled for August 25 – September 19 in Detroit.

It’s a premise that calls another Canadian creeper to mind and has us intrigued: Pin.

Emma Ho, Ian Ho, and Ess Hödlmoser star.

Home Bodies is directed and produced by Casey Walker, who returns to Fantasia more than a decade after his horror-comedy A Little Bit Zombie screened at the festival in 2012. He’s since gone on to produce a number of defining Canadian genre films like In a Violent Nature, The Void, and Pyewacket.

I started my career in Montreal and Fantasia has been part of my life ever since, said Walker.I couldn’t be more thrilled to return to where it all started and share Home Bodies on such a special anniversary of the festival.
