Genius Products Discoveries ‘Something Beneath’ Oozing
Get ready for a slimy combo of special effects, breakneck suspense and inescapable disaster when SOMETHING BENEATH oozes its way onto DVD September 9th August 26 from Genius Products and RHI Entertainment. A massive cellular organism, highly intelligent and deadly, is living in the sewer system beneath a conference center and it’s up to Kevin Sorbo (TV’s “Hercules,” “Avenging Angel”), Natalie Brown (Dawn of the Dead, TV’s “Sophie”), Peter MacNeill (A History of Violence), and Brendan Beiser (TV’s “Stargate SG-1”) to figure out how to kill it before it kills them. The DVD will be available for $14.95 SRP. Synopsis inside.
A new conference center has been constructed despite warnings by biologist Dr. Connelly (Beiser) that the grounds are toxic. At the center’s inaugural Clean Planet conference, one of the delegates is found dead, his face frozen in fear. Adding to the odd disturbances is a mysterious oily black slime oozing its way around the conference site. It’s soon discovered that the slime amassing on the lake front, clogging drains, seeping into rooms, and sliding along halls is a massive cellular organism living in the sewer system–highly intelligent, and capable of inducing fearful hallucinations in its victims. When the truth is revealed, Douglas Middleton (Sorbo), a priest attending the conference, joins security chief Mr. Deadmarsh (MacNeill) in evacuating guests. As the panic spreads, so does the slime–a pulsating, dripping, moving, inescapable, ecological disaster that is awakening everyone’s worst nightmares.

Horror Romance ‘Leviticus’ Heads Home to Digital Next Week
After releasing in theaters last month, NEON announced today that horror romance Leviticus will arrive on digital platforms to rent or own beginning July 28, followed by a Blu-ray/4K Ultra HD Combo and DVD release on September 8, 2026.
Leviticus marks the feature debut by writer/director Adrian Chiarella.
Joe Bird (Talk to Me) and Stacy Clausen play star-crossed teenage boys who must escape a violent entity that takes the form of the person they desire most — each other.
Mia Wasikowska (Crimson Peak), Jeremy Blewitt, Ewen Leslie (The Nightingale), and Davida McKenzie (Silent Night) round out the cast of horror movie Leviticus.
“Leviticus is a strong debut with an incisive voice at the helm,” I wrote in my review out of Sundance. “We care deeply about Naim and Ryan’s survival, making Leviticus a tense, atmospheric, and claustrophobic vision of young love in a hateful world.”
“Leviticus is the perfect title for writer-director Adrian Chiarella‘s powerful feature debut,” Meagan’s review explains, “a searing anthem against the corrosive nature of fear and bigotry.”
The physical media release comes packed with exclusive bonus features, the home entertainment release includes a feature commentary with Adrian Chiarella, interviews with Chiarella, Stacy Clausen, and Joe Bird, an exclusive behind-the-scenes featurette, and the official trailer.
Look for Leviticus on Digital next week, and check out the box art for September’s Blu-ray release this September.
