Paramount Plans NEW ‘Friday the 13th’ Box Set!
Some awesome news comes in via Dread Central this afternoon as they report that Paramount Home Entertainment is working on a brand spanking new box set for their FRIDAY THE 13TH films. Everyone knows the last release, which included FRIDAY THE 13TH through FRIDAY THE 13TH PART VIII: JASON TAKES MANHATTAN, was a piece of crap and carried barely any extra features and didn’t even include the uncut versions of the films. Hopefully Paramount does us right with the new release (Blu-ray, please!) that is slated to hit stores around the same time as the remake — Friday, February the 13th, 2009. Nothing has been confirmed yet.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Tim Burton’s sci-fi movie Mars Attacks!, and IGN has announced this afternoon that the film is being celebrated with a brand new 4K release.
When can you expect it? IGN reports, “Mars Attacks! will be available for purchase digitally in 4K Ultra HD and on 4K UHD Blu-ray Disc on August 11, 2026.”
