‘Motel Hell’ Remake Director Discovered!
We got the scoop from a few various sources that Bloody-Disgusting fav, Steven C. Miller, is in final talks to direct MGM’s remake of Motel Hell. Miller first graced your computer screens when we were the first to review his independent zombie film AUTOMATON TRANSFUSION (now on DVD from Dimension Extreme), which was made for a measly $30,000 (I’m still in shock). No more details have been revealed, but we’ll keep you posted. The classic 1980 horror comedy followed Farmer Vincent’s famous sausage business run out of a hotel that snags unsuspecting tourists and harvests them to become tomorrow’s smoky breakfast links.
An ongoing horror anthology series from BOOM! Studios, Hello Darkness is back this summer with Issue #23, and BOOM! has provided Bloody Disgusting with an exclusive sneak peek.
The temperature rises and so does the body count, as the horror anthology series returns for another round of summer slashing in Hello Darkness #23, releasing July 22, 2026.
