BLACK CHRISTMAS (1975; Blu-ray): Critical Mass

The college town of Bedford is receiving an unwelcome guest this Christmas. As the residents of sorority house Pi Kappa Sig prepare for the festive season, a demonic stranger begins to stalk the house. A series of grisly obscene phone-calls start to plague the residents of the sorority and soon they will each meet their fate at the hands of the psychotic intruder. As the Police try to trace the calls, they discover that nothing is as it seems during this BLACK CHRISTMAS.

BLOOD WARS: MTI

Will is a laid-back college student who enjoys a quiet lifestyle with his small group of friends. Unfortunately for Will, everything he knows is about to change when he is bitten by a vampire seductress – part of clan that has been living near the campus and searching for fresh blood. The coven leader, Julian has been looking to pass his throne to a worthy successor. In order to pass his coveted title, one of the vampires in his coven must fight and kill a sentry – a member of an elite order of vampire hunters. As the legend holds, sentries have fought vampires for millennia, protecting the world and maintaining a necessary balance between good and evil. But the destiny of vampires and sentries alike are forever changed when Will becomes the center of this eternal war.

TEX SAYS: It’s Tony Todd, Jason Connery and C. Thomas Howell. I mean, how bad could it be? Strike that…yikes!

HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY: Universal (TEX’S PICK OF THE WEEK)

After an ancient truce existing between humankind and the invisible realm of the fantastic is broken, hell on Earth is ready to erupt. A ruthless leader who treads the world above and the one below defies his bloodline and awakens an unstoppable army of creatures. Now, it’s up to the planet’s toughest, roughest superhero to battle the merciless dictator and his marauders. He may be red. He may be horned. He may be misunderstood. But when you need the job done right, it’s time to call in. Along with his expanding team in the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Development–pyrokinetic girlfriend Liz, aquatic empath Abe and protoplasmic mystic Johann–the BPRD will travel between the surface strata and the unseen magical one, where creatures of fantasy become corporeal. And Hellboy, a creature of two worlds who’s accepted by neither, must choose between the life he knows and an unknown destiny that beckons him.

TEX SAYS: More supernatural shenanigans from Guillermo del Toro and crew as the Hellboy saga continues!

POINT OF CONTACT : S’More Entertainment

Jake McCormick awakens from a mysterious 12 year sleep with a an ability no other human possesses, an ability that will destroy him of he doesn’t learn to deal with it. Jake can see the dead. Not able to comprehend his newfound clairvoyant abilities nor able to cope with the spirits who surround him, Jake seeks the help of Andrea Riley, a gifted medium who may hold the key to his learning to deal with what he perceives as his affliction. Now, Jake is faced with the daunting task of using his powers to hunt down the evil ghosts and make them depart this plane for good.

RAW FEED HORROR COLLECTION (REST STOP, SUBLIME, BELIEVERS; 3-disc): Warner

The first 2 films in Warner Brother’s Raw Feed line get a box set release just in time for the Horrordays!

SKI WOLF: SRS Cinema

What do you get when you combine two of the greatest cult comedies, TEEN WOLF and SKI SCHOOL, of all time? Well Ski Wolf is what you get! Witness 80’s style tomfoolery flung at you with the greatest of ease. Will Scott Bateman and his companions be able to stop Ralston Zabka the 14th and his sidekicks from taking the ski mountain away from Uncle Billy? Or will the SKI WOLF thwart the evil rich kids plan and bring the party back to the mountain slopes? Watch this flick and you will find these answers and more (like wild parties, explosive diarrhea, crazy sex scenes and huge naked breasts… oops, I said too much) in SKI WOLF ! Hairy palms are truly the least of his problems!

TEX SAYS: If this latest flick from New York cult filmmaker Chris Seaver and his LBP hooligans is only 1/4 as funny as the premise, it should still be worth checking out! For hardcore microcinema lovers only!!!

SUPERNATURAL: The Complete Third Season: Warner

The yellow-eyed demon is vanquished, but at a terrible price. The battle that brought him down released hundreds of demons from Hell into an unsuspecting world. And it cost Sam his life. One year to say farewell to Sam. And one year for Sam to search desperately for some way to save his brother. Mind-bending adventure awaits as the Winchester brothers continue their astonishing odyssey into the supernatural…and their personal odyssey into destiny.
