In the film Simon Baker plays a bank manager in a U.S.-Mexico border town haunted by the death of his daughter. He and his wife approach a Latina soothsayer to find out what happened to the girl, but the old woman’s visions threaten to dredge up secrets from their tortured pasts. In addition, you’ll also find a look at the thriller The Cry of the Owl, which stars Julia Styles.

THE CRY OF THE OWL: Based on the novel by Patricia Highsmith (The Talented Mr. Ripley), CRY OF THE OWL is the story of a troubled young man, Robert, who leaves the big city and his ex-wife for the tranquility of a small town. He finds respite from his problems by secretly watching the normal domestic life of a woman he doesn’t know through her kitchen window.
