Lovecraftian Horror ‘Altitude’ Begins Casting!
Finally things are prepping for take off as casting is underway for Altitude, which we exclusively brought you this crazy promo for last year. Jessica Lowndes (The Haunting of Molly Hartley, Autopsy) has risen to the lead in the feature directorial debut for Marvel Comics artist Kaare Andrews (“Hulk,” “Wolverine”). The Canadian indie thriller from Escape Factory and Foundation Features will feature Lowndes (pictured inside) as a rookie airplane pilot whose weekend getaway flight with friends faces a series of unexplained malfunctions. The script was penned by Paul Birkett. Production will take place in and around Vancouver in April.
Lost in a mysterious cloudbank, a rookie pilot and her four teenage friends must contend with a freak mechanical failure that first sends their small plane climbing to an impossible height, and then plummeting through endless mist.
After regaining control, the survivors are confronted with a horrifying realization – the very ground beneath them has vanished and a malevolent force lurking in the clouds wants them dead.

Nicolas Winding Refn’s ‘Her Private Hell’ Rated ‘R’ for Bloody Violence & Sexual Content
Sophie Thatcher stars in Nicolas Winding Refn’s new genre movie Her Private Hell, and the film has officially received its expected ‘R’ rating from the MPA this week.
Her Private Hell is rated ‘R’ for “some strong/bloody violence, sexual content, and language.”
Nicolas Winding Refn’s Her Private Hell will be released in theaters July 24 via Neon.
In the film, when a mysterious mist engulfs a futuristic metropolis, unleashing a deadly and elusive entity, a troubled young woman searches for her father. Her quest collides with an American GI on a harrowing odyssey to rescue his daughter from Hell.
Sophie Thatcher (“Yellowjackets”), Charles Melton (“Riverdale”), Kristine Froseth (How to Blow Up a Pipeline), Havana Rose Liu (No Exit), and Diego Calva (Babylon) star.
The ensemble also includes Dougray Scott (Hitman), Aoi Yamada (Perfect Days), Shioli Kutsuna (Deadpool & Wolverine), and Hidetoshi Nishijima (Shin Ultraman).
Nicolas Winding Refn directs Her Private Hell from a script he co-wrote with Esti Giordani (“Vida”). Pino Donaggio (Carrie, Don’t Look Now) composed the score.
Refn produces under his byNWR Originals banner. Executive producers include Takuma Takasaki, Kimberly Willming, Christina Erritzøe, and Lene Børglum.
