Next to the French horror film The Horde, the only other film I’m excited to get feedback from Cannes on is Lars von Trier’s Antichrist, which not only wowed us with these stills, but also had a pretty astounding trailer debut. And seriously, how cool is it that the concept behind this film is that the English language pic is set in nature and based on the theory that it was Satan, not God, who created the world? Just plain cool. In the psychological thriller that evolves into a horror film, Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg play a couple who retreat to an isolated cabin in the woods following the death of their child.
