As usual, the news that hit the web the other day was not only inaccurate, but wasn’t even confirmed. What we learned exclusively this morning is that Dark Sky Films is planning something special for their forthcoming release of Deadgirl, which premiered last September at the Toronto International Film Festival’s “Midnight Madness.” Directed by Marcel Sarmiento and Gadi Harel from a screenplay by horror fav Trent Haaga, Dark Sky will be putting the film in theaters July 24th as part of a “non-traditional event.” What does that mean exactly? In a forgotten room of an abandoned asylum, they find a beautiful woman tied to a bed, and soon come to realize she is anything but dead.
