SDCC ’09: Peter Jackson to Return to Horror
While Jackson evaded questions about returning to horror last night (he had his heart set on talking about building planes), he told Comic Con audiences that he wants to return to his evil roots still. JoBlo reports the following from Hall of of the San Diego Comic Con, “Someone asked producer Peter Jackson if he has any plans on returning to horror movies, and his answer was… YES! While he’s producing THE HOBBIT, he’s not gonna be there to look over Guillermo del Toro’s shoulder, so he may find a little horror movie to make in the meantime, to keep himself busy.” Can we get some more blood? Fingers crossed. Jackson directed the classics Dead Alive (Brain Dead), along with Meet the Feebles and Bad Taste.

Souheila Yacoub, Tandi Wright, and Hunter Doohan lead the cast of the brand new Evil Dead movie alongside Luciane Buchanan, Errol Shand and Maude Davey.

Sébastien Vaniček and Florent Bernard wrote the screenplay.

Sébastien Vaniček is joined behind the camera by director of photography Philip Lozano, production designer Nick Connor, editor Maxime Caro, makeup and effects designer Jane O’Kane and costume designer Sarah Voon. Evil Dead Burn features music by Double Danger.
