While it’s being reported that Paramount’s Case 39 is being dumped in theaters on January 1, 2010, reps over at the studio are telling Bloody Disgusting there is no mention at all of a release forthcoming. So either the higher ups are planning an authentic dump or there truly are no plans in the near future. While there’s no reason at all to be excited (years on the shelf, rashes of negative reviews out of London), you can chew on two clips from the Renee Zellweger starrer beyond the break. Case 39 centers on an idealistic social worker (Zellweger) who saves an abused 10-year-old girl from her parents only to discover that things are not as they appear.
