‘Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy’ Teaser Trailer

Camelot Entertainment Group, Inc. announced today that DarKnight Pictures, a division of Camelot Distribution Group, has acquired domestic television and international rights to Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy, the definitive behind the scenes retrospective on the twenty-five year history of the horror epic A Nightmare on Elm Street. Exploring the creation of Freddy Krueger and the impact the series continues to have on the horror genre and pop culture, `Never Sleep Again’ is produced by Daniel Farrands and Thommy Hutson, written by Thommy Hutson, and directed by Daniel Farrands and Andrew Kasch. Actress and narrator of the documentary Heather Langenkamp, along with Camelot Chairman Robert Atwell and Camelot President of Distribution Jamie Thompson serve as Executive Producers.

“Freddy Krueger is a household horror name, and with the Nightmare on Elm Street reboot produced by Michael Bay,” Thompson stated, “this is the perfect time to release a behind the scenes look at the creation of a horror staple that many will be intrigued to see.”

`Never Sleep Again’ steps out from behind the thrilling nightmare and explores the creation of Freddy Krueger and what it takes to bring the worst nightmares to life. There are over 100 interviews from cast and crew, including directors Wes Craven, Renny Harlin, and Ronny Yu, as well as talent John Saxon, rockstar Alice Cooper, Monica Keena (Freddy vs Jason), and Freddy Krueger himself, Robert Englund.

The documentary is currently in post-production and is to be released in the US this spring.

Original ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’ Making 4K Debut Later This Year

Several of our favorite horror franchises have gotten upgraded 4K collections, but one franchise that you can still only own on Blu-ray is A Nightmare on Elm Street. The bad news? A full franchise collection hasn’t yet been announced. Good news? The original is coming to 4K!

Wes Craven’s original horror classic is getting a 40th anniversary 4K Ultra HD SteelBook from Warner Bros. on December 31, 2024, with pre-orders now available on Amazon.

It’s a UK release, but the 4K disc will be REGION FREE. The Limited Edition offering will reportedly come packaged with a Double-Sided Poster, Art Cards, and a Booklet.

The official listing previews, “Celebrate 40 years of Wes Craven’s nightmarish masterpiece A Nightmare on Elm Street with a brand new 4K restoration and Ultimate Collector’s Edition featuring a Steelbook with new key art, theatrical poster and other premiums.”
