Learn More About ‘The Collector’ in Forthcoming Sequel
Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton’s The Collector is now available at a retailer near you. After you check it out, you can start dreaming of what could happen in a sequel as Dunstan confirmed to AITH that he’s already hard at work on a screenplay. “Given the greenlight to go ahead and write the script last Wednesday, Dunstan is hard at work developing the story for THE COLLECTOR 2, which he promises will reveal more of the character of who the Collector is and why he does all the crazy shit she does. **SPOILER ALERT** He also promises that we find out what happens to Arkin (Josh Stewart) after he’s abducted and thrown in the box, as the story will continue with him and his battle with the Collector. **END SPOILER ALERT**”
Synopsis: “The slasher follows the story of handyman and ex-con Arkin, who aims to repay a debt to his ex-wife by robbing his new employer’s country home. Unfortunately for Arkin, a far worse enemy has already laid claim to the property – and the family. As the seconds tick down to midnight, Arkin becomes a reluctant hero trapped by a masked “Collector” in a maze of lethal invention – the Spanish Inquisition as imagined by Rube Goldberg – while trying to rescue the very family he came to rob.”
Get ready for double the fun, protagonists, and body count when Ready or Not 2: Here I Come explodes on streaming next week.
Just in time for the fireworks, the sequel makes its streaming debut on Hulu and Disney+ on July 2.

Picking up moments after the all-out attack from the Le Domas family in the first Ready or Not movie, Grace (Weaving) discovers she’s reached the next level of the nightmarish game — and this time with her estranged sister Faith (Kathryn Newton) at her side. Grace has one chance to survive, keep her sister alive, and claim the High Seat of the Council that controls the world. Four rival families are hunting her for the throne, and whoever wins rules it all.

I wrote in my review for Bloody Disgusting, “More is more in Ready or Not 2. Bigger stakes, larger playing field, a higher (and more gruesome) body count, and even double the protagonists. It’s all designed to deliver maximum crowd-pleasing fun.”
The horror-comedy sequel is written by Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy.
