Official U.S. One Sheet for Spanish-language ‘REC 2’

Published

on

Grab some burritos, tacos, and fire up your DVD payer on July 9th as following an at home showing of REC, you’re gonna want to hit the local theater for Jaume Balaguero and Paco Plaza’s Spanish-language sequel REC 2. While Sony Home Entertainment dumped the first masterpiece on DVD (not even Blu-ray), Magnet Releasing is giving it’s intense sequel a well-deserved theatrical run. Inside you’ll find the official one sheet. It has been just 15 minutes after authorities lost contact with the people locked in the building under quarantine. Nobody knows what happens inside. Outside is chaos…a SWAT unit enters the interior of the house to monitor the situation and determine what is happening. A seemingly quick and easy task. But everyone knows. Sometimes appearances can be deceiving. Two more sequels are planned.
REC 2 also premieres On Demand, Xbox Live, Playstation, Amazon and Vudu June 4th

Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, the duo behind A Quiet Place and Heretic, are headed back into the science fiction arena for a brand new movie being produced by Steven Spielberg.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Beck and Woods will direct the untitled movie for Universal & Amblin, being described as a “high-concept” science fiction movie.

Scott Beck and Bryan Woods also wrote the original screenplay.

THR details, “Beck and Woods are longtime friends from Iowa who were propelled to mainstream success in 2018 thanks to their spec A Quiet Place, which Paramount bought and made into the hit film. Beck and Woods are coming off of the critical and commercial A24 hit Heretic. Before that, they helmed the sci-fi feature 65 starring Adam Driver for Sony.”

The duo wrote on Instagram last night, “This new project is thirty years in the making. Really proud to bring this story to life alongside Mr. Spielberg and our heroes at Amblin and Universal Pictures. Never a dull day working in the dream factory.”

“Hope to see you in theaters soon,” Beck and Woods added.
