Release Date Round-up: ‘Skyline’, ‘Dark Fields’ and ‘Sanctum’
We’ve got a trio of new release dates to add to your calendar starting with the highly anticipated alien horror pic Skyline (read our set report), which comes from special effects wizards and AVP: R directors Colin and Greg Strause. Universal Pictures will act as distributor and release on November 12 of this year. Then there’s Neil Burger’s The Dark Fields, the Bradley Cooper, Elizabeth Banks, and Robert De Niro thriller now arriving in theaters January 21, 2011, three months earlier than expected. Lastly, Sanctum 3D (aka The Dionaea House & The Occupants) will begin lensing soon for a February 4, 2011 release. I expect that to shift. Eric Heisserer (The Thing, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Final Destination 5) pens the script for Peter Cornwell (Haunting in Connecticut). More info on all films can be found by clicking any title above.
