Danny Pudi have the best actor’s life ever? He gets to spend all year goofing off with the legendary Chevy Chase on NBC’s awesome “Community”, and during hiatus, he goes and gets himself all bloodied up for Joe Lynch’s long-awaited sophomore film, The Knights Of Badassdom, which he just finished shooting. “We shot all night Thursday night up in Spokane, and then I flew directly here to Comic Con,” Pudi tells Bloody Disgusting following a packed panel for his hit show. Talking Knights, he tells us “It starts off really fun and comedic, but things get very serious. It has a Lord of the Rings-ish, epic feel.” He also reveals that his character (named Lando) is “a bit of a weasel. Everyone else will be fighting, confronting people, but Lando will be hiding.” Pudi also praised his cast and Spectral Motion’s amazing work on the film’s (non CGI) monster. “It’s very real, very gross, very scary. It’s so cool looking.” Look for the full interview later this week; get your Pudi fix in the meantime by checking out “Community” on NBC (now in repeats on Thursday nights, new season starts in the fall) or the 1st season on DVD, which hits stores September 21st.
