Universal Pictures has released buckets upon buckets of new stills from John Erick and Drew Dowdle’s Devil, which opens in theaters on September 17. While the main plot’s being kept under wraps, Chris Messina plays the lead role of Bowden, a sobered-up homicide detective who is involved with a group of people trapped in an elevator — when they begin to mysteriously die one by one. Billed as being “from the mind of M. Night Shyamalan”, Devil is the first entry in the filmmaker’s “Night Chronicles” trilogy.
