Four Year Strong are gearing up to release their new album In Some Way, Shape Or Form on Nov. 8th and have just began their headlining run on the AP Tour. However, since we’re so close to Halloween, vocalist/guitarist Dan O’Connor just had to stop in BD Music and share his favorite horror flicks, which you can check after the jump!
Dan O’Connor:
1. The Shining – One of the most intense movies ever. I remember first time I saw the naked lady turn into the old diseased lady while Jack Nicholson was hugging her – I lost my shit.
2. The Sixth Sense – Great movie. Best scare in the movie is when the dead lady yells at the little kid from down the hall and starts walking towards him.
3. Pet Cemetery – When the little kid cuts the dude’s achilles tendon, I lose it every time.
4. Halloween (1978) – The OG is always the perfect movie to watch when you’re in the mood for a nail biter.
5. The Exorcist – All I gotta say is the devil’s got a potty mouth! I’m a sucker for theological horror movies.
6. The Omen – Love horror movies that have their plots based around religion because it always makes for a more intense time.
7. Poltergeist – I remember being little and watching this movie and never wanting to turn the TV on ever again.
8. IT – I don’t think there could be a more frightening scenario than a killer clown in a sewer talking to a little kid. Gives me the willies!
9. Jaws – It’s hard to completely call it a horror movie because its not a “halloween” movie, but this movie had more of a lasting impression on me than any other. The whole “just when you thought it was safe to go in the water” line! I saw that movie when i was like 9 or 10, and resultantly have never thought it was safe to go in the water ever again.
10. Paranormal Activity – Now this one is kind of a weird one to throw in since it’s so new and I know a lot of people didn’t like it, but all I can say is the first time I saw that movie I thought, if any one of the things in that movie happened to me, I would lose my god damn mind.
