A Taste of Violence in First ‘Dream Home’ Clip

IFC Midnight did us all a huge favor when they acquired Pang Ho-cheung’s awesomely gory Dream Home (review) for release here in the States. The wait shouldn’t be too long (maybe first quarter 2011), but you can get an early taste in the following clip. Unfortunately, the gore is being kept under wraps. Cheng Lai-sheung, a young, upwardly mobile professional finally ready to invest in her first home. But when the deal falls through, she is forced to keep her dream alive — even if it means keeping her would-be neighbors dead. Pang Ho-Cheung’s disturbingly imaginative violence unfolds against a backdrop of lifestyle fetishization and the housing market crisis in this metropolitan spin on Guignol horror.
