Once you’ve spent enough time in the blocky world of Minecraft or one of its many clones, you start wondering what it’d be like to live in a world like that. It’s deceptively cute, thanks to its colorful, retro aesthetic, but when you really think about it, Minecraft is a thoroughly terrifying game. On the surface it’s a creative open-world game that lets you build whatever you want, limited only by your imagination, but beneath that charming surface lies a horror more terrifying than even the scariest of clowns.
