After being rumored for years, it’s pretty exciting to see Tim Burton nearly on set for Dark Shadows, Warner Bros. Pictures’ feature film based on the based on the 60s TV soap.
The cast continues to grow as Prom star Thomas McDonell is set to play the young Barnabas Collins, reports Deadline. McDonell joins Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Bella Heathcoate, Jackie Earle Haley, Eva Green, with Helena Bonham Carter also expected to join the cast. Michael Sheen is also in talks, as previously reported.
Penned by Seth Grahame-Smith and John August, the original followed the life of vampire Barnabas Collins, played by Depp, and his run-ins with various monsters, ghosts, and supernatural creatures.
Shooting begins this May.
