Two More ‘Stake Land’ Character Prequels!
With the release only a week away, Dark Sky Films has kicked off the apocalypse.
Inside you’ll find two new character prequels from Jim Mickle’s Stake Land.
These mini-vignettes, detailing the time leading up to the horrific events of the film, each provide a tantalizing glimpse into the lives of the Stake Land cast of characters. “Jebediah” stars Michael Cerveris and was directed by Larry Fessenden, while “Willie” stars Sean Nelson and was directed by Danielle Harris!
“In the aftermath of a vampire epidemic, a teen is taken in by a grizzled vampire hunter on a road trip through a post-apocalyptic America, battling both the bloodsuckers and a fundamentalist militia that interprets the plague as the Lord’s work.”
Starring Danielle Harris, Kelly McGillis, and Conor Paolo, Dark Sky Films will release in limited theaters on April 22. Mickle is best known for directing Mulberry Street.

‘You’re Dead to Me’ Trailer: Gen Z Slasher Pays Tribute to ’90s Teen Horror
Prom leads to murder in the new trailer for You’re Dead to Me, a Gen Z slasher that pays homage to ’90s teen horror.
Dark Star Pictures will release You’re Dead to Me on Digital and On Demand on July 7, 2026.
In the film, “Three high school seniors skip prom for a secluded weekend party free from parents, school, and responsibility, but their escape turns terrifying when they learn one of their classmates has been brutally murdered.”
Denise Richards (Valentine, Starship Troopers) stars alongside Siena Agudong (Sidelined: The QB and Me, Sidelined 2: Intercepted), Jessica Belkin (“Baywatch” ), Ella Anderson (“Henry Danger,” Song Sung Blue), and Conor Husting (“Boo, Bitch”, Hollywood Stargirl).
The film was directed by Juan Pablo Arias Munoz.
You’re Dead to Me was co-written by Sarah Howard and Terry Castle, the daughter of the legendary William Castle (House on Haunted Hill, The Tingler).
