A must-see, refreshing surprise for horror fans, Rammbock: Berlin Undead (user reviews) follows its successful limited theatrical run with a nationwide DVD and VOD release June 28, 2011!

Called “a story of love set against a zombie apocalypse,” this is one “romance” flick that the guys in the relationship will be begging to watch on date night.

Rammbock, which has been hailed as one of the smartest films in the genre, will be available to fans on DVD, Video on Demand (VOD), and online. Released though The Collective’s home-video partnership with Vivendi Universal, Rammbock–as well as the other titles in the Bloody Disgusting Selects series–features unrated content, bonus features and special packaging.

Pre-order from Amazon, add to your Netflix queue or check with your local cable provider for video on demand (VOD) channels (listed below).

Filmmakers Marvin Kren and Benjamin Hessler have given us Germany’s first foray into the Zombie genre. Rammbock is an unlikely tale of love, terror and survival set against the dystopic backdrop of a zombie-infested Berlin.

Heartbroken and clueless, Michael (Michael Fuith) arrives in Berlin to win back the affections of brooding ex-girlfriend Gabi (Anka Graczyk). But he’s in for a little disappointment: she’s not home and the city is rapidly overrun by bloodthirsty hordes of zombiefied Berliners. His only companion? The plucky Harper (Theo Trebs, “The White Ribbon”), a teenage plumber’s apprentice at work in the apartment complex. From their overnight redoubt in Gabi’s bedroom, the unlikely duo must escape the infested building, outwit the undead and find her…before it’s too late. Rammbock is hide and seek…with zombies!

Robert Eggers (The Witch, Nosferatu) is back later this year with new horror movie Werwulf, and the very first teaser image from the hotly anticipated movie has surfaced tonight.

Oddly enough, this first look comes courtesy of the NBC Store, and it gives us a glimpse at a chilly Winter landscape from the film. Is there a werewolf hiding in the photo? Maybe…

Set in 13th century England, Werwulf sees a mysterious creature stalk the land as local folklore becomes a terrifying reality. The film hits theaters on December 25 via Focus Features.

Robert Eggers recently teased, “It’s the darkest thing I’ve ever written. By far.”

Eggers directs from a script he penned with his The Northman co-writer Sjón.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Nosferatu), Lily-Rose Depp (Nosferatu), Willem Dafoe (The Lighthouse), Ralph Ineson (The Witch), and Bodhi Rae Breathnach (Hamnet) star.

Robert Eggers and Sjón produce alongside Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner for Working Title. Maiden Voyage’s Chris Columbus and Eleanor Columbus are executive producing.
