With the Canadian premiere slated for this month’s Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal (along with PiFan, Fantaspoa and RioFan), there’s a whole lotta awesomeness surrounding Jack Perez’s Some Guy Who Kills People (set visit), a new horror comedy penned by Ryan Levin and executive produced by John Landis (An American Werewolf in London, “Thriller”).
The fun begins right here on Bloody Disgusting where you can watch the face-slapping first 3 minutes of the film, while an additional 3 minutes can be viewed by “liking” the film’s official Facebook! The Facebook page also is host to a “Photo Caption Contest” where someone can win a DVD autographed by the cast/crew member of their choice! “Featuring a stellar cast of familiar faces, the film follows Ken Boyd (Kevin Corrigan), a local loser fresh out of the loony bin. Trying to piece the remnants of his life back together, Ken’s fragile psyche receives no help from his over-bearing mother (Karen Black) or her buffoon of a lover, the local sheriff (Barry Bostwick).
Ken finds solace in the idea of killing the men he holds responsible for his miserable life, until a surprise run-in with his estranged 11-year-old daughter Amy (Ariel Gade) and a budding new romance (Lucy Davis) threaten to derail his plan.”

Adam O’Brien (Mom) directs from a script by John Petrizzi and Brad Hodson.
When nurse Julia finds herself trapped inside the home of her dementia patient, she begins to suspect things are not what they seem; something demonic is seeping through the cracks of this old home. Trapped and with nowhere to turn, Julia soon finds herself in battle to rid the house of this evil before it is too late.
Dawn Ford, Emmanuelle Lussier Martinez, Bill Rowat, and Mark Antony Krupa star.
“This film depicts the most harrowing 90 minutes of our protagonist’s life, and I felt that the most visceral way to really feel this was to do a single-shot film,” O’Brien previously teased. “We are with her every step and misstep she takes – through the unraveling of the mystery to the horror of her discovery. It’s a fun, twisty roller-coaster ride that puts a new spin on exorcisms.”
Bury the Devil is the first installment in a planned trilogy. The prequel, Bury the Devil: Origin, is already in development with O’Brien returning to the helm.
O’Brien produces along with Philip Kalin-Hajdu (The Sacrifice Game) and Benoit Beaulieu (Turbo Kid).
