‘The Crow’ Finally Gets Proper Blu-ray Release
The cult film coming to Blu-ray in October that tragically ended Brandon Lee’s life has been detailed.
As previously reported, Lionsgate says Alex Proyas’ The Crow is coming to Blu-ray on October 18, reports High Def Digest.
“Brandon Lee (‘Rapid Fire’) plays Eric Draven, a young rock guitarist who, along with his fiancée, is brutally killed by a ruthless gang of criminals. Exactly one year after his death, Eric returns – watched over by a hypnotic crow – to seek revenge, battling the evil crime lord and his band of thugs, who must answer for their crimes.”
Lee was accidentally killed during the production of this haunting film when a bullet from a prop gun hit him in the abdomen.
The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements include: Audio commentary with producer Jeff Most and screenwriter John Shirley, behind-the-scenes featurette, extended/deleted scenes, and storyboards and photo galleries.

‘In a Violent Nature’ Gets Official VHS Release With Standard Edition and Book Box Edition
While we wait for the sequel, the fan favorite slasher movie In a Violent Nature is back this week with a brand new VHS release from Broke Horror Fan and Witter Entertainment.
An official partnership with Shudder, In a Violent Nature is now available on limited edition fully functional VHS, with a Standard Edition and a special Book Box Edition.
Witter previews, “The 2024 Shudder Original slasher arrives on VHS with two variants: A standard slipcase with art by The Boland Design Company, and a book box edition with art by Gary Pullin + a gatefold cover and green VHS tape! Book boxes are limited to 200.”
Each tape includes exclusive introductions from director Chris Nash and cast. And a behind-the-scenes featurette is even included, which will play after the feature itself.
For optimal VHS viewing, the film is presented in its original 4:3 full frame aspect ratio.
