New ‘Contagion’ Poster Is A Headshot Compilation

Published

I don’t really know what to make of Contagion, except that I’m absolutely tickled by the fact that a Steven Soderbergh flick is headed to IMAX. I have no idea what sort of madness is in it that would require the use of a 72 x 52.8 ft. screen (there’s no monkey in this, right?), but I’m all for seeing Kate Winslet blown up to the size of Soderbergh’s ego (judging by his commentary tracks, the guy loves him some him).

A new poster for the film made it’s way on the net today, featuring a headshot montage of a few of the stars. It’s a pretty boring one-sheet, but THIS THING IS IN IMAX… and not 3D.

In theatres September 9, Contagion follows the rapid progress of a lethal airborne virus that kills within days. As the fast-moving epidemic grows, the worldwide medical community races to find a cure and control the panic that spreads faster than the virus itself. At the same time, ordinary people struggle to survive in a society coming apart.

THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
