It was announced today that Stoker has commenced filming in Nashville, Tennessee.
Stoker is being directed by Chan-wook Park (Oldboy) and stars Mia Wasikowska, Nicole Kidman and Matthew Goode. This is one I’m fairly excited about. I love Wook’s work and had a chance to take a look at a draft of the script some months back (before I knew the “Ted Foulke” credited on the cover page was actually Wentworth Miller of “Prison Break” fame) which I remember liking quite a bit.
In Stoker, “After India’s (Wasikowska’s) father dies in an auto accident, her Uncle Charlie (Goode), who she never knew existed, comes to live with her and her emotionally unstable mother (Kidman). Soon after his arrival, she comes to suspect this mysterious, charming man has ulterior motives, but instead of feeling outrage or horror, this friendless girl becomes increasingly infatuated with him.”
