‘Jay And Seth Vs. The Apocalypse’ Starts Up In February! Think Rogen Can Pull Off Horror Comedy?

Published

on

A couple years ago a fake trailer for Jay And Seth Vs. The Apocalypse started making the rounds. It’s a hilarious look at a lot of the real world, day to day, complications that the apocalypse would bring into our lives that many other movies hadn’t really dealt with yet.

Now, production on the oft-rumored full length feature (if you’re confused just go back to the “Machete was a trailer first” school of thought) sounds like it might be gearing up in February. The movie will certainly star Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel, and it sounds like this may mark Rogen’s debut behind the camera as well.

Speaking to Movies.com, “Rogen also said that he’ll be beginning production on Jay and Seth vs. the Apocalypse in February, which he calls an ‘oddly personal’ film. He also confirmed that he’ll be co-directing with writing partner Evan Goldberg, adding ‘It’s now much more than just Jay and Seth — there’s many other people vs. the apocalypse now. It’s gonna be crazy.’

Seth and Evan previously teamed up to write Superbad, Pineapple Express and The Green Hornet.
