‘Paradise Lost’ Introduces the First Man on Earth, Archangel
I Am Number Four thesp Callan McAuliffe is joining the cast of Paradise Lost, Legendary Pictures’ big-budget adaptation of John Milton’s 17th-century poem that will be directed by Alex Proyas, says Variety.
Bradley Cooper, Ben Walker, Casey Affleck and Djimon Hounsou star in the heavenly epic, while Rock of Ages thesp Diego Boneta is being eyed for the role of Adam, the first man on Earth.
McAuliffe will play Uriel, one of the first seven archangels created by God. When Lucifer (Cooper) rebels against God and Michael (Walker) is named commander of Heaven’s army, the dedicated soldier Uriel becomes his second in command.
Project, which will feature eye-popping aerial warfare that may be shot in 3D, will fall under Legendary’s overall agreement with Warner Bros.

‘A Sacrifice’ Trailer – Sadie Sink Stars in Suicide Cult Thriller
Inspired by Nicholas Hogg’s 2015 novel Tokyo Nobody, the thriller A Sacrifice starring Sadie Sink (“Stranger Things”) is on the way from Vertical, and the official trailer has arrived.
From director Jordan Scott, the film releases on June 28, 2024.
“A Sacrifice is an emotionally turbulent story that follows American social psychologist Ben Monroe who is investigating a local Berlin cult connected to disturbing events.
“While he immerses himself in his work, his rebellious teenage daughter, Mazzy, becomes embroiled with a mysterious local boy who introduces her to the city’s underground party scene. As their two worlds head toward a dangerous intersection, Ben will need to race against the clock in order to save his daughter.”
Sadie Sink stars alongside Eric Bana and Sylvia Hoeks.
A Sacrifice is produced by Ridley Scott.
