According to The Chronicle Herald, Nicolas Cage (Ghost Rider, Season of the Witch, Wicker Man) is close to landing the lead role in Dark Highway, Bruce McDonald’s follow-up genre film to Pontypool.
“Now it’s all about timing, and everybody’s schedule,” McDonald says of when shooting might begin.
The film is described as a supernatural thriller and has the following logline, “Story follows a man being chased who is trying to get to a certain place in one day. He doesn’t know whether the situation is real or his imagination.”
It was written by Christopher Kyle (Alexander, K19: The Widowmaker) and will be produced as a joint venture between Palomar Pictures and Foundation Features. ![]()
