Martyrs director Pascal Laugier’s The Tall Man finally has a release date! If you’re a fan of Laugier (or Jessica Biel) you’re gonna want to mark your calendar for August 31st, 2012.

Per Jessica Biel Central, “The news comes after rave reviews from the Cannes Film Festival. The New York Times posted a blurb earlier this month with August releases, and listed ‘The Tall Man’ on August 31st. Now it has been confirmed by Producer, Kevin DeWalt, that the film will indeed hit theaters on August 31st. It has not been confirmed whether or not it is a limited or wide release.

Jessica Biel plays a nurse living in a small town where children have gone missing over the years, leaving no clues. One night, she finds her son’s bed empty and, desperately rushing downstairs, confronts a huge dark figure, with her son in his arms.” Teach Grant, William Davis, Samantha Ferris, Jodelle Ferland, and Stephen McHattie also star.
