Two Clips from Paramount’s DVD Release of ‘Carriers’
Àlex Pastor and Pastor’s long-delayed Carriers is finally arriving on DVD December 29th and we’ve got our hands on two clips from Paramount Home Entertainment’s release that stars Lou Taylor Pucci, Chris Pine (Star Trek), Piper Perabo and Emily VanCamp as four friends fleeing a viral pandemic soon learn they are more dangerous than any virus.“A deadly virus has spread across the globe. Contagion is everywhere, no one is safe and no one can be trusted. Four young attractive people race through the back roads of the American West to the pounding beat of a vacation soundtrack. Their aim is to retreat to secluded utopian beach in the Gulf of Mexico, where they could peacefully wait out the pandemic and survive the apocalyptic disease. CARRIERS follow their getaway through a surreal and dangerous world where laws and rules no longer apply. Their plans take a grim turn when their car breaks down on an isolated road starting a chain of events that will seal the fate of each of them in an inexorable and horrifying voyage of hell through a western landscape populated by only the hideous dead or the twisted living. Their desperate retreat south turns into a deadly battle against infected children, homicidal doctors, crazed survivalists, rabid dogs, and, finally each other. Less than two months after releasing in theaters, where it has scared up $188 million at the box office, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is headed home next week, we’ve learned.

In Gil Kenan’s Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level.
But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
The cast includes Patton Oswalt, Kumail Nanjiani, James Acaster, and Emily Alyn Lind, alongside Bill Murray, Finn Wolfhard, Ernie Hudson, Mckenna Grace, Paul Rudd, Celeste O’Connor, Logan Kim, Annie Potts, Dan Aykroyd and Carrie Coon.
Jason Reitman, who directed Ghostbusters: Afterlife, is back to produce Frozen Empire.
Meagan wrote in her review for Bloody Disgusting, “Frozen Empire offers familiar set pieces, references, and easter eggs aplenty, but the nostalgia tank is now running on empty.”
“That may be enough for some, especially when Frozen Empire pulls out some deep-cut nods. But by the time the mid-credit scene kicks in, solely designed to inspire merchandising sales, it’s more likely to leave you ready for the Ghostbusters to retire in peace,” she adds.
