Sucks when fan backlash ruins a potential project. Back in April we posted the sales trailer for Marilyn Manson’s Phantasmagoria: The Visions Of Lewis Carroll, a long-gestured project that was to star Lily Cole, Tilda Swinton, Evan Rachel Wood and himself as a haunted writer in an isolated castle is tormented by sleepless nights and visions of a girl named Alice. According to sources close to NME, the clip “caused such a backlash that a decision was made to close down the project. It’s unlikely it will ever see the light of day.” Well, now that sucks.
