Born Of Osiris About To Hit The Road: Announce Plans For New Album
Starting on Thursday, Born Of Osiris will be hitting the road with Unearth for the month of November. Support will also come from The Contortionist, Obey The Brave, and Wolves At The Gate. Then, in February, the band will be touring Europe with After The Burial, Monuments, and The Haarp Machine.
However, the band is not only content hitting the road. They’ve also announced that they are close to completing the songwriting process for their follow-up to The Discovery and will enter the studio in the spring with Nick Sampson (I Am Abomination) to track the new effort.
Lee McKinney (guitars) states: “I would say the direction of this album is along the lines of The Discovery, but definitely a lot heavier and a lot more focused when it comes to song structure. We’re trying to give each song a powerful, thematic feel. This next record takes all of the best aspects of The Discovery and develops the ideas even further. We already have so much material that we plan on revising and refining over the next few months. While we do that we will still continue to write more and in the end I think we’ll pick the strongest 10-12 songs so we can drop the best BORN OF OSIRIS record to date.”
Read on for more from Lee as well as the full touring schedule.
McKinney adds, “On March 22nd we start recording the record with Nick Sampson. We’re very excited to work with him in the studio. He’s a shredder and aside from that a great engineer/producer. Joey Sturgis (Asking Alexandria, Emmure) will be handling the mixing of the project. We felt he was the best for the job since we have a lot of electronic elements in our music and he seems to be the master of all that these days. Not to mention he obviously has insanely tight production and mixing skills. The disc is set for a summer release and we can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve created.
“In other news, we’re heading out this week on our co-headliner with Unearth. It’s such an honor to be able to bring them with us on tour. I remember being 16 delivering pizzas blasting The Oncoming Storm in my car. We’ve toured with them before a couple times as well and they are some of the most fun dudes to be on the road with. Also rounding out the tour is The Contortionist, Obey the Brave and Wolves at the Gate. People can expect to see our longest live set yet. We’re playing songs off of The Discovery that we have yet to play on any other tours. Come hang with us!”

‘The Lost Boys’ Musical Extends Broadway Run With North American Tour Set for Spring 2028
The Lost Boys: A New Musical officially kicked off on Broadway last month, and Deadline now reports that the show’s Broadway run has been extended into next year.
The show was originally set to run through November, but Deadline reports that The Lost Boys: A New Musical “has released a block of tickets through Sunday, March 7, 2027.”
The news comes in the wake of The Lost Boys: A New Musical becoming the most Tony-nominated musical of the season with twelve nominations including Best Musical.
Additionally, “The Lost Boys will launch a North American National Tour in Spring 2028, at Playhouse Square in Cleveland. Additional cities and tour dates will be announced later.”
The Lost Boys: A New Musical is of course an adaptation of the 1987 horror classic from director Joel Schumacher, with the cast including Ali Louis Bourzgui as lead vampire David (originally played by Kiefer Sutherland), Maria Wirries as Star (originally played by Jami Gertz), and LJ Benet as the soon-to-be-turned Michael (originally played by Jason Patric).
The horror musical’s cast also includes Shoshana Bean as Lucy Emerson, Benjamin Pajak as Sam Emerson, Paul Alexander Nolan as Max, Jennifer Duka as Alan Frog, Miguel Gil as Edgar Frog, Brian Flores as Marko, Sean Grandillo as Dwayne, and Dean Maupin as Paul.
The Lost Boys: A New Musical is Directed by Michael Arden, featuring Music and Lyrics by The Rescues, Book by David Hornsby & Chris Hoch, Story by James Jeremias & Janice Fischer, and Produced by James Carpinello, Marcus Chait & Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring) by special arrangement with Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures.
When a mother and her two teenage sons move to Santa Carla in desperate need of a fresh start, they soon uncover the darker side of this sunny coastal community. While Lucy tries to piece her family’s life back together, Michael keeps pulling away in search of belonging.
As he finds connection with a local rock band and its charismatic leader, his younger brother Sam comes face-to-face with a terrifying reality: When night falls, Michael’s new friends are even more dangerous than they first appeared.
Joel Schumacher directed the original The Lost Boys vampire movie in 1987, wherein two brothers move to a new town and discover that the area is a haven for vampires.
