‘Left 4 Dead 2’ For Linux Out Of Beta, Now “Ready For Primetime”

Published

on

The Linux version of Left 4 Dead 2, which has been in public beta since early May, is now “ready for primetime,” according to a post on the game’s website. It will be joined by the Extended Mutation System for an official release on Steam after they’re opened up to more people.

In addition to that, the new Extended Mutation System will bring with it a plethora of brand new game modes, including Vicious Infected, Boomer Peril, Stranded, Vampirism, Plague of the Dead, Zombie Run, and Tiny Terror. When I see ‘Boomer Peril’ I can’t help but picture a Boomer knocked over, his stubby limbs flailing in the air as he gurgles for help getting up.

Anyone planning on returning to Left 4 Dead 2 over the long weekend — assuming you have a long weekend?
