[Comic-Con ’13] ‘Godzilla’ Already Leaving Marks In San Diego

Published

on

Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have set Saturday, July 19th as the date for their massive Godzilla Comic-Con panel, but that doesn’t mean the big green machine isn’t going to make all of San Diego his stomping ground.

Check out a few tweets of San Diego locals who have caught an early glimpse at a warehouse being torn apart for a Godzilla celebration of sorts.

The film, in theaters May 16, 2014, is an epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla. This spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.

Gareth Edwards directs, Elizabeth Olsen, Bryan Cranston, Aaron Johnson, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn, Ken Watanabe, Richard T. Jones, Sally Hawkins, Akira Takarada, Victor Rasuk, Yuki Morita, and C.J. Adams all star – but it’s still unclear who will attend the panel. If I had to guess, they’ll attend via video feed from the now-filming set.

Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”
