Sony Home Ent. Dates ‘The Stranger Within’ For Home Video
The perfect couple becomes the perfect target in the sexy, psychological thriller The Stranger Within, available on DVD from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment on September 3rd.
William Baldwin (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Sliver) and Estella Warren (The Cooler, Planet of the Apes) sizzle as a young married couple whose dream vacation on a remote Mediterranean island becomes a living nightmare when they meet a mysterious woman (Sarah Butler, I Spit on Your Grave) with blood on her hands and a penchant for mind games. Filmed on location in Spain, New York and Copenhagen, this intensely erotic and suspenseful thriller premiered at the prestigious 2013 Berlin Film Festival. “Estella Warren ignites the screen with sexual intensity,” says Evan Jacobs from MovieWeb.com.
“After a traumatic ordeal, acclaimed actress Emily Moore (Warren) and her psychiatrist husband, Robert (Baldwin), escape on a relaxing vacation to a gorgeous remote Mediterranean island. But on the first night at the house, a young woman (Butler) arrives, with blood on her hands and hysterical from the death of her boyfriend in a hiking accident. Robert offers to take in and help the young girl, but her suggestive behavior makes Emily wonder if she might be a threat to their marriage… or her life.”
The Stranger Within was written, produced and directed by Adam Neutzsky-Wulff and also produced by Michael Aoun (The Ultimate Film Challenge) of Drama Deluxe. LevelK negotiated the deal with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. It has a run time of approximately 90 minutes and is rated R for violent content including a rape, sexuality, nudity and language.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Tim Burton’s sci-fi movie Mars Attacks!, and IGN has announced this afternoon that the film is being celebrated with a brand new 4K release.
When can you expect it? IGN reports, “Mars Attacks! will be available for purchase digitally in 4K Ultra HD and on 4K UHD Blu-ray Disc on August 11, 2026.”
