Mix Resident Evil style gameplay (although I’m not sure which series came first to be honest) with a man who visits his own hell trying to find his wife that you later find out he murdered? Oh and Pyramid Head….fucking Pyramid Head…psychological horror at its best!
EVERYONE knows about this game, and while not truly horrifically scary in a “OMG IM GONNA PISS MY FUCKING PANTS” way, this game made me jump SO MUCH. To me it was more of an adrenal rush playing this and lots of fun because you didn’t know when Slender was going to take you. The game itself started out as a “Creepy Pasta” Post on a fan fiction horror thread on the inter-webs which was actually pretty creepy… but this games jumpiness and its music alone get it there for me… although I am kind of a pussy.
