Published

on

Odd City Entertainment will be releasing a sweet limited edition Trick ‘r Treat poster to commemorate Legendary Entrainment’s upcoming screening at the Egyptian Theater in L.A. Everyone who attends the screening on October 28th will be gifted with one of these bad boys. If you don’t live in L.A., Odd City is printing 100 regular copies and 85 glow-in-the-dark variants that will go on sale the following day. These will go fast, so I hope you have a quick trigger (mouse) finger.

The screening will also be streamed online at Legendary’s facebook page at 7:30 pm PST. Take a look at the poster below, as designed by James Fosdike.

From the press release:

“I was very honoured to be asked to illustrate a poster for Trick ‘r Treat,” Fosdike said. “It’s a wonderfully clever and surprising Halloween film with such an iconic creepy little guy at it’s center. I loved the interweaving storylines, it reminded me a lot of Creepshow, which I loved as a kid. I wanted to put as much of the story as I could on the page, giving the image a comic-book touch with the background panelling, and adding a special frightening touch to Sam. Turn the lights off and you’ll see…”

The Odd City poster is just one of many ways that fans can experience this special event, even if they are not able to attend the screening in person. Both the showing of the film and the panel, which will be attended by Dougherty, who directed and wrote the movie, along with cast members Dylan Baker,Brian Cox, Quinn Lord, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, and other special guests, will be live-streamed nationally on Legendary’s Facebook page at facebook.com/legendary. The livestream will begin at 7:30 pm PST. Fans can tune in to watch the film and panel, join in on the conversation, and enter to win Blu-ray copies of the film.

‘MaXXXine’ – Mia Goth Takes Hollywood in New Image from Ti West’s Sequel

Published

One of this summer’s most hotly anticipated new movies is A24 and Ti West’s MaXXXine, a follow-up to X and Pearl that brings Mia Goth’s title character into the 1980s.

With her past catching up to her, Maxine attempts to make it big as a superstar in Hollywood, 1985. While you wait, check out a new image below courtesy of USA Today this week.

Releasing in theaters on July 5, 2024, MaXXXine is rated “R” for…

“Strong violence, gore, sexual content, graphic nudity, language and drug use.”

If you missed the official trailer, you can watch it right here.

Mia Goth stars alongside Elizabeth Debicki, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Halsey, Lily Collins, Giancarlo Esposito and Kevin Bacon in MaXXXine.

Here’s the official plot synopsis from A24 this week: “In 1980s Hollywood, adult film star and aspiring actress Maxine Minx finally gets her big break. But as a mysterious killer stalks the starlets of Hollywood, a trail of blood threatens to reveal her sinister past.”

Last we saw Maxine in Ti West’s X (2022), she was the sole survivor of a massacre carried out by elderly couple Howard and Pearl in the Summer of ’79. Goth of course pulled double duty as the villain Pearl in that movie, who got her own origin story in Pearl (2022). Pearl and Maxine are different characters, but they share the common goal of wanting to be stars.

Will Maxine finally make it in Hollywood? Or will the demons of her past become her ultimate downfall? With the Night Stalker roaming free, we expect MaXXXine to get wild this summer.
